Helmut Holzapfel

ist seit 1993 Professor für Verkehrsplanung an der Universität Kassel. Bis 2007 war er Dekan des dortigen Fachbereichs Architektur, Stadt- und Landschaftsplanung. Er arbeitet zu fachübergreifenden Problemen von Raum und Stadtentwicklung, Verkehr, Automobil und Mobilität, Kunst und Psychologie. Dazwischen leitete er die Abteilung Verkehr am Ministerium für Wohnungswesen, Städtebau und Verkehr des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt. Er war Mitglied des documenta 12 Beirat.
